Christmas Parade
Newspaper articles on The Hohenwald Christmas Parade have been found dating all the way back to 1952. However, many think its origins actually date back to the World War II era!
The Parade has always been on the first Thursday night of December and has only ever been postponed (due to weather) three times in it’s history. Typically it has had 70 to 140 entries which would include: antique cars and trucks, parade floats, area high school marching bands, dance groups from the local dance schools, fire trucks & police vehicles, beautiful horses and carriages, community Grand Marshals and of course, Santa is always the finale!
We love seeing traditions like these stay alive for half a century or more in Nashville’s big Back Yard.
