What We Do

The Hohenwald-Lewis County Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber fills many shoes for its members.  We support our County and City Governments, and are supported by the State of Tennessee.  In that vein, please discover how you can benefit from becoming a member of the Chamber of Commerce:

  • Support - individually (social media shares, newsletters, newspaper, radio, website, ribbon cuttings/open house events, Downtown Merchants Association) and group advertisements (newspaper, travel mags, maps, website, social media)
  • Networking opportunities with Chamber coffees, lunch & learns, annual awards banquet
  • Referrals- to prospective customers by phone or email, letters of support
  • Business/Tourism Growth and Community Development- October Heritage Festival, Block Parties
  • Relocators (individuals and businesses)- referrals and assistance for moving here and thriving here
  • Tourism- making sure the tourists spend money in our city/county businesses
  • Visitors- in town for family events such as reunions, funerals, etc., class reunions, genealogical research

 

County:

Three Star Program (Adult Leadership program, grant awards business community)
Tourism Promotion for the County (hotel/motel tax re-investment): brochures, social media, magazine ads, videos, website, Welcome Center, association memberships*
County representation/support: Blue Ways Project, SCOPE program, Awards Ceremonies
County Schools (Adopt-A-Class, Reality Check, Petals & Pearls)
County Sports (school or summer leagues)- signs, guest bags for tournaments

City:

Tourism Promotion for the city- (brochures, social media, magazine ads, videos, website)
Referrals/ Support- for Downtown Merchants and Downtown Program, letters of support for grant projects
City representation/support: SCOPE program, Gattis Leadership, Tourism associations

Associations/Networking:

The Chamber collaborates with various State and nonprofit agencies to bring to our members, our community, the economic growth that will allow all of us to grow and prosper.  Among those associations are:

SAM (System for Award Management) Registration (to do business with the Federal Government as a chamber of for any of our member businesses)
